I know there are places like this in the US. I'm guessing they're all over the world. Here, many of those were a stop along a train's route. I know one (in the town I grew up) was called, Cunningham. After the trains stop running, then, these spots are all but forgotten. Except by older residents, historians & very detailed cartographers. Perhaps they're now marked by a corner store, a home or it's just an open area. Do you have places like this where you live?

The photo is funny? There are places like that all over the US. Maybe, the world. They've pretty much become ghost towns. There might be or might have been some in your area, when it was smaller.
