Success seems too hard to get, why?

We discuss this much in one of the management seminars we have as the principal of our respective school.
One of the factors is a lukewarm attitude in discharging our responsibility to our teachers and in return they feel being ignored that affects their will to teach. Thus school performance in terms of students academic standing is very low.
What do you think some of the important factors that make success unattainable?

Hardwork isn't a problem. But good luck seems indeterminate.

I suppose it depends on how you define success in your life and what you think a successful person is. If the measure of your success or not only comes from outside achivements and outside validation then you will always be chasing a moving target.
In respect to your teachers their attitude and performance they do not only depend on what is coming down from above but will also reflect what is coming from their students.
I you want to be successful as a student that is in your own hands, not the principle's hands or the teacher's hands, but yours and yours alone.

Success only comes to those who struggling. And not all of the people have desire of it. So.. thats why maybe it seems too hard
