May months are the hotest in India and you never expect a rain and that too with heavy wind and thunder. Sitting in the courtyard listening to the radio I was alerted by a news buletin of buildup of cyclone in the Bay of Bengal. I didn't bother as I don't stay close the Bay of Bengal to worry about. So I carried on with what I was doing- listening to music. Hardly 5 minutes passed the rain clouds were right over my head as if to say ' Dont take me lightly '. I ignored again and soon heavy winds started to blow. Wondered will it really rain. I ignored the wind. My mom came out and started to pull out the clothes from the cloth line to avoid getting wet and asked me to go inside. Well I stay put where I was sitting reassuring myself that this will just be some passing cloud and need not worry too much about it. A flash of lightening hit with a ear breaking thunder that I was jolted from my chair. Looked like this must be the ultimate warning from the rain gods but who cared I continued to what I was doing. Then all at once the clouds burst right over my head and were having the last laugh. I was completely drenched and infered " summer rains are crazy ".
