This one caught my eye because of what is written in the right hand corner. Do you see it? Elite Family Resort
Something tells me that casinos were... not all that different than they are today. What do you think?
I wonder what all the attractions were. "Immense bill of attractions." Okay, but I think the newspaper subscribers would have liked to know what that entailed, don't you?

It is something I am not aware of. Thank you for clarifying for me. I guess hollywood makes us think that casinos are places of vice, it would not have been quite that historically.

@mrki444 Oh, so those places still exist? That is good! Yes, I think if hollywood showed only the nice places, people would be bored.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It is more attractive choose place where only bad boys go like casions or even bars. Bars are often showed as places for drinking but I know several bars where you can bring kid and there is special space for them with kids toys or sandbox.

Sounds very much like today with acts such as the celebrities that are booked today.

Hmm, true. I've never been to a casino myself, but I've heard about those Vegas show stars.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Cirque de Soleil, Elton John, Celine Dion, you name it, they've performed there.

@LindaOHio Isn't Las Vegas considered one of the other major places that a singer can get a career started?

It sounds a little like a holiday camp to me (with gambling, presumably, but also with stage acts for everyone to enjoy),
I suppose that there were contact details as well - an address and phone number, perhaps?

I was surprised that there was no address or even street name. It must have been somewhat well known.

It's very doubtful. I don't believe they are.

Yes, but I am so curious as to what they were.

I kind of like suprizes once in awhile. It might have been interesting to go without knowing!

This is true. I'm not that way myself, but I can appreciate that it would be fun for some. My anxiety kicks in and won't let me enjoy a surprise.
