assume that you break up with lover or friend,will you save any mementos for them?

personally,once i break up with a friend or lover,i won't save anything related to them,because as long as i look at memento,it remind me to remember the unpleasant past,it is annoying.I supposed certain unpleasant matter resulted in breakup.I have met this situation before some days,i have broken up with a friend,
then i delete all infromations about her,i don't know if i am heartless or unusual,
or extreme,anyway,once i see anything about her,it make me remember the unpleasant matter.What do you think,Guys,if you meet a breakup,how do you handle memento?

yeah,as far as i know,most man won't save former girlfriend's things after breakup.
