I missed eating sushi!

I don't really dine out often even before the pandemic.
But there are some occasions that we would also go and dine in a good restaurant. Not really in a fine-dining and expensive restaurant, but at least in one that serves dishes that we won't be able to prepare at home.
One of the food that I missed eating is sushi! Yup I love eating sushi and other Japanese food. :D
Since the restaurants are still closed and I don't know for how long, I'm not sure If I will be able to have one anytime soon.

I use to crave for sushi before but during the last down turn ( financial crisis) we learned to make our own, I was amazed how easy it is to make , we could also make more than what our money could buy at the Japanese restaurant and eat all we can so my craving for sushi is gone now
we were also able to utilize mangoes from our tree besides buying cucumber and crab sticks.
Learn how to make your own if I may suggest, it's not as difficult as we think it to be, learning how to roll it properly is harder than making the fillings.

Making some crossed my mind. Buying sushi is quite expensive. However, if I make some, I would be making for myself alone. My wife doesn't like to eat sushi. :(

@jrlcentral right make for yourself, like our Pinoy expression you will eat " one to sawa " ( one till you have enough) During the financial crisis we also avoided buying expensive wasabi in tubes, we bought the cheaper powder that you add water to and mix with chopsticks.
I love kikoman soy sauce , but if there's none then the ordinary silver swan or datu Puti light soy would do now I don't crave for sushi any more, it has become just ordinary common food in the house
