Y'all are probably going to think I am disgusting..but this is the recipe I made a couple of days ago. I follow this "Aldi finds" facebook group (they call themselves Aldi Nerds) and occasionally they post recipes with aldi-bought products. I need to unfollow them though as my Facebook feed is constantly inundanted with this stuff. And, most of the recipes posted on there are NOT healthy.
This one, just because it is a salad, does not mean it's healthy either, but it was delicious. This is a BIG MAC SALAD - fashioned after a McDonalds big mac burger, bu I made it vegetarian.
This is what is in the salad:
*Romaine lettuce
*Shredded cheddar cheese
*Diced red onions
*Chopped baby dill pickles (nom!)
*Diced tomatoes
*BOCA brand vegetarian "burger" crumbles
with a Light Thousand Island dressing (or you can make your own Big-Mac type sauce, I went the easy route). On the side, I bought some foccacia bread at Cub Foods.
Like I said, NOT healthy, but interesting. And tasty, in a sweet AND savory way. And pickles, I love pickles!!
Have you ever had something like this, or would you try it? Or, have you made anything interesting lately?

Mmm. Sounds good, though for me I would leave out the onions (just not an onion fan ).
