I like the way that Peggy Cobb who celebrated her 105th birthday party at the Hammond Glen retirement community in Sandy Springs Georgia on Saturday. Peggy who was born in Minnesota who spent most of her life in Terre Haute Indiana as a former school teacher. Cobb who is a widow was married to her late husband for more than 50 years. They had three children from their marriage. The birthday party was celebrated on Friday May 23 which was one day earlier for her real birthday. Peggy was greeted by 10 of her family members who had to keep their distance from entering the retirement home due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The best part of the birthday party was that Peggy was given a parade in her honor which she enjoyed. Despite the Coronavirus pandemic placing a dark cloud over our world, Peggy was three years of age when the Spanish flu in 1918-1919 affected the world, Peggy just finds a way to be positive and not allow bad events to take her to a self pity state. Peggy has found happiness talking to the other senior citizens in the retirement home as well as chatting with her children on a computer at the retirement home. My guess is that Peggy has found happiness by finding the good things in life and enjoy her life adventure.

Even with the mask on, she doesn't look that old. I'm sure her positivity with life has kept her looking young and living a long life.
