Do you know what plant is this?

This plan grows everywhere in my place. It looks so pretty with its red fruits. The fruit itself has a unique shape. It looks like the shape of a heart. Nobody that I asked knows the name of this plant. But they said they never try to eat its fruits. They believe that the fruits are not edible..

I see others say it looks like tomato. However, I think it is a kind of chili. As tomato tree's leaves are different.

The fruits look like what we in my country call "jambu air". The fruit is very watery and quite bland. And has a cottony texture. I think it's called wax apple or Java apple or rose apple in English. This plant grows widely in my country.

@Miss_Leafy If you’ve never tried a fruit, it’s probably safer not to try it. But if this is the fruit that we have in my country then it’s quite a delicious fruit.
