It was a head-on collision last night!

Last night, I stayed up late watching a Korean series about 5 doctors who play as a band- it is titled "Hospital Playlist". My son slept early because he and my brother have to wake up early for the emission test of the blue car at 4:30AM.
At 10:30PM, in the stillness of the night, a very loud BANG sounded as if something crashed at our gate. The dogs started barking. When the sensor light suddenly lit up and the gate was wide open, I saw 2 motorcycles lying. I immediately called my son, who went out through the side door (the dogs might go out if he went out through the front door), and also I called my older siblings in loud voice so they wake up.
I called them out because there might be damages at the gate, or maybe somebody was lying unconscious. I was panting while calling them.
It was a head-on collision of 2 motorcycles. One was coming out from the street fronting our gate while the other one was traversing along the main road. When the 4 of us went out, and other neighbors as well (we still practiced the social distancing with masks on), I saw a female lying on her left, immobile, while another one was seated with back leaning on the cemented gate.
Somebody called Rescue 211 and the local police as well. (I was not able to take pictures because the gate was wide open- my son usually closes and locks the gate at night). The phones were also charging.
That is the 5th time, I think, that accidents occur in front of our gate. December last year, a motorcycle also lost control that the driver fell unconscious and died after a day in the hospital.
We here at home do not know what happened to the victims. The local police mentioned that the 2 motorcycles are new, and the riders did not have the passes from their 'barangay' captain. According to my son, the female smelled like liquor.
The street is well-lit. I hope the CCTV at the lamp post captured the accident so the authorities will know who was driving faster than the limited speed.

it is not in the curve. our house is located at right angle with the main street, at 90 degrees angle.

I see. So it must be hard to see...maybe a stop sign either way is needed to stop accidents or lights?

our road here is narrow though it is the provincial road. it is not necessary to put stop lights or traffic lights here.

Aw, that is really bad but ironically, I am happy to see such a collision. It is a big lesson for those motorcycle riders because they are so reckless. I would even laugh at their face instead of helping them. Last December, our gate was damaged because it was hit by a motorcycle.

there are many motorcycle accidents here, really, and yes, sometimes, i utter it is the victims' fault why they are hurt with the mishap

@ridingbet that is what I see. The fault lies on those motorcycle riders.

Really a tragic accident. is your house close to the main road at an intersection or bend

it is not intersection. our gate is the endpoint of the street where the main street joins.

@ridingbet Having a house at the end of street could also be a problem. As drunkards forget to take the turn and hit your house gate.

Some people were just not into driving motor cycles or any other vehicles for that matter.
