Are these the ones you cook or eat raw? A few months ago my mother in law bought some cooking ones thinking she could eat them raw

@ramapo17 I think the ones you cook with are actually called plantains, but they look like large bananas ??

@Dragonairy1 I have heard of plantains but they are somewhat different than the usual bananas.

There are 3 banana plants with fruits in our yard. I always wait for one banana to turn yellow before I harvest. That is to make sure that the bananas are all matured.

What else do you do with them when you have a lot. I have a lot and I am the only one that likes them here. I froze a lot right on the stem, I also de-hydrated some and put them in the freezer but those I don't know what to do with. The ones on the stem that I put in the freezer, I put in my morning shake.
