After the holidays are over, I collect old holiday cards and turn them into miniature boxes which I give to my friends for use as boxes or ornaments for their trees the next year.
Any idea on how to get more boxes? I'd like to make a whole tree of them next year and sell them for a little bit each donating the money to a local charity.
Anyway I need to advertise to get more cards for free. Ideas are welcome.

CL and the local Freecycle are top of my list for requesting. Trying to figure out what time frame would be best. I don't want people to throw their cards away, but I don't want it to be so far out from when they are finished with them that folks forget. The 22nd or 23rd maybe?

This is a wonderful idea.
If I were you I would put a message on CL and Freecycle beginning now. That way people who only occasionally check it will have the thought in mind through the holidays. Then refresh your message right at Christmas and maybe again right after, when people are taking down decorations and discarding their greeting cards.

That's a good idea. The message should be able to reach enough folks that way.
