June 1 - 32nd Day Under GCQ

While for some parts of the country June 1 is the first day under the General Community Quarantine, it is the 32nd day for us here in Capiz. We did not have any new cases of covid-19 in the province, except for that health-worker that had a false-positive result when the Rapid Test kit was used. 32 days under GCQ isn't so bad. But people here are still observing social distancing and mostly are staying at home unless necessary. There are some few who chose to defy the GCQ protocols, e.g, social distancing, and wearing of face masks. Those who are caught are brought to the designated covid-19 'detention center' where the first offenders get some lectures. For those who live in places that had just been downgraded from ECQ to GCQ, I wish the best for you and stay safe. Hope and pray that there will be no 'fresh' positive in the coming days.

I am also praying. If you come to think of it, as the cases arises the government decided to ease the community quarantine. It might not be on your end but here in NCR and Central Luzon still a lot of cases and still counting

The thing is, whether its ECQ or GCQ, it's up to us to be cautious. Refraining from going outside is unless necessary is the right thing to do.

@JWMILLER it's a vice versa here in the Philippines. Funny because the cases here continuously goes up but they change the level of lockdown here.

@cherriefic They never learn.... then if something bad happens, they blame the government. :(

From the bottom of my heart I wish this virus will leave us for good. I am so tired of seeing it on TV and a lot of people lost their jobs. Stay safe my friend.

No new cases is great news, But I do find that very hard to relate to given every where else still seem to be reporting new cases. I hope it is correct though

The thing is, our President imposed the community quarantine as early as March 15. Thus, the virus was contained in most areas early on. The numbers that add up these days are actually the test results of samples taken weeks ago. The testing capacity of the facilities in our country is quite low. I'm not sure if they are can even process up to 20K samples a day. At least that's how I see it. The best thing to do is to think that your area is still in lockdown.

@jrlcentral Because testing is so low in Scotland I tend to agree with you We are still in lockdown anyway, with some of the restrictions relaxed

Good to know that your country has downgrade the quarantine rules from ECQ to GCQ. Hope people follow the rules and still follow the social distance norms . If they don't follow then more people will get infected.
