Watching wood curl

About a month ago, neighbors across the street took down their back deck. Today they got a delivery of wood to rebuild it (I'm assuming). It was dropped off in the middle of their driveway in the morning. And the boards are warping in the sun. One looks like a giant rocker (for a rocking chair).

Have you had a lot of rain? I'm surprised it warped so fast. Maybe it was already warped when it was delivered.

We did have a doozy of a storm the other night and this wood looked very wet.

@BarBaraPrz I would think it would take more than that to warp but I don't know anything about wood.

Yeah, it was interesting. Althouugh most of it has straightened out again this morning.
