I have been working from home for years. So, I really don’t pay attention to getting government IDs. I have a passport but it has already expired a few years ago. Since I need a valid ID to confirm my identity at this job website I have been working on, I have no choice but to get one asap. And now it’s here! It arrived early this afternoon.

It's a tax identification ID. I'd renew my passport once this pandemic is over.

I had to do that once, but not because of a job. I needed to apply to pay a lower rate on a medical bill, and they required a new ID.

@freelancermariagrace Yes, IDs are becoming more and more necessary. Here there is an ID that you can get that serves as a license for driving, and as a passport.

I always just show my driver's license as my ID card. I usually keep my passport stored away in a safe location. Actually, now that you've mentioned it, I need to check and see when my passport expires. It's going to be difficult to come visit you if I don't have a valid passport!
