Who here have been laid off from their companies because of Covid19? The economy has been low now so it made some companies decide to layoff people from their team. Its so sad but some people have been finding ways to earn online after losing their jobs. Don't give up , we can find a new job or a new way to earn money.

I've not been laid off because I didn't have a job pre-COVID-19. The issue post-COVID-19 will be high employment because some businesses may cut staff or even shut their doors. That's why I'm focusing on finding remote online work.

Post COVID would companies have enough to hire more people? I wanna understand why they would cut staff.

@Lushlala Recover in 2021? I think its still hard to say. In the 2 months of COVID, it was really not income generating.

@jvincent_129 Eh, I'm actually not sure where to start. It only makes sense that some companies will likely collapse or cut staff because since COVID-19 hit, all business has ground to a halt and companies have not been able to generate an income? For instance, over here, tourism is huge business and employs a lot of people. Since COVID-19 stuck, there's been no planes, countries have been under lockdown. So with no tourists to serve, tour operator companies have had to either lay off staff or cut them. A lot of tourists have cancelled their holiday bookings for 2020. When you think experts say the travel industry will likely recover fully in 2021-2023, that paints a very gloomy picture for many people in that industry. And that's just one example. Everything is interconnected and that being the case, there'll be a domino effect right through the value chain.

Yes, it's happening around the globe. Retrenchment of employees, the practice of a no-work-no pay scheme has been implemented in most companies, others have closed. How devastated the pandemic has brought to the whole world. It changed the normal way of living of human beings. I hope it will end and people will go back to it's normal activities.
