A Spicy Review

Greetings earthlings (still with the unique openers, here)
Here is a review of seasonings I have tried recently. And here you thought this was going to be more exciting, didn't you?
JD's Bacon Salt
Makes everything taste like bacon... well, yes and no. It's alright. It could equally be described as seasoned salt with hickory. It's alright, but for the $10 I paid for it, in future I would be fine sticking with good old season salt.
McCormick "Tasty, Tangy" blend
This is fairly good - it definitely has a ranch/onion/chive vibe to it , and for a meer $3.50 I'm sure I'll find enough places to use it that makes it fun.
And now, perhaps the one I'm most impressed with - Goya's "Sazon". It claims to be a salt free flavor enhancing blend. Season your food as usual - the package advises - just add a packet of Sazon. While the packet says it goes well in everything, I think it's flavor profiles are best suited for stuff like tacos, beans, chilis, stews, roasts....
Here is the site for the tasty and tangy :

@nela13 Ooo some of those I like a lot, just uncertain about how much to use at times. Basil is lovely fresh

Oh yes, the way the bacon salt was hyped I was hoping it would be awesome, but it's basically seasoned salt with hickory. It's alright, I'm sure I'll use it. Just not for the price.
So welcome

My favorite spices are Penzeys--they are the best!

I love spicy foods, but my husband doesn't. A former co worker used to say every morning, "What's shakin, Sugar?"

Ah, alas. Sometimes adding spice later works, and sometimes it's just not the same.
I love that expression, though
