Is This the "New Fix-It Bandaid"?

When a person does something wrong they should apologize. Nobody disagrees with that. I suppose if it's a high profile figure and they did something that everybody could plainly see, that person might feel compelled to make a PUBLIC apology. I got no problem with that. It's your conscience, you deal with it. If you have been wasting time watching American news reports, then you know that just recently made a high profile military official made a public apology for walking down the street with the president when he went to stand in front of a church with a Bible and take a picture. He is some top military brass guy. Anyway, evidently he felt so bad about being “with” the president that he felt the need to make a public apology for his being there. Yeah OK. Fine. Whatever! Today, a friend shared a link on Facebook to an article where a well-known company offers a “public apology” because … uuhh … they let the police use their bathrooms during the protests. The story goes that the protesters were angry about that and so the company has made a “PUBLIC apology” for allowing the police to privately respond to nature's call. Well! Since people seem to be getting into APOLOGY MODE. I think parents who brought their young children to a protest DURING a pandemic should … and it doesn't have to be PUBLIC … it can be PRIVATE … I think these parents should apologize to their kids!! I have had young kids. My kids are all grown now but one thing I remember about them when I took them out in public was … they used to always have to go to the bathroom! NOW! I KNOW … I KNOW … that the death of George Floyd provoked OUTRAGE!! And if you are an adult and you want to take the risk and go out in public to protest … FINE! But to bring young children out … when there is a pandemic … and there is a potential for violence to escalate … not to mention a little child could accidentally trip and fall and get trampled on by the crowd … ETC. Hey! They knocked down a 75-year-old and kept going. A child could fall down or get knocked down. They're lower to the ground. People might not even see them. Do I make sense? I think those parents owe their children an apology for ENDANGERING THEIR PRECIOUS LIVES.. Public apology. Private apology. It doesn't matter. But how about this? Stop being wrong and stupid! Then you won't have to make any apology! (Inhale slowly. Exhale slowly. OK. I'm calming down.)

I agree children should not be brought in to adult issues.
