Hello, fellow mylotters, how is everyone?
Today, the same day and the same date, 11 years ago, my beloved mother left us at dawn. It was on a Friday the 12th of June 2009 when she had projectile vomiting, after she requested me to prepare her a cup of coffee with rice, as her breakfast.
I drove her to the hospital with my son before noon, and I took care of her until she was intubated and left us. I was able to call my 2 oldest siblings back then.
They say that it is good if a loved one dies at dawn; they live in Heaven as the sun rises. My father too, on March 21, 1997. Both of them now live in Heaven, sharing their everlasting love with each other, and watching over us.
Yesterday, I prepared her last breakfast and offered it in our altar. we have this tradition of offering food to our departed. She and my father though are always in our hearts, forever.
"Don't bring me to the hospital, it is Friday" was her wish, but I insisted she needed to be seen by the doctor. And when I took a nod while watching over her, I felt a very sharp fingernail movement that pressed at the left side of my back. I thought my father said, "watch over your mother". I immediately woke up eyes wide open.
She spoke a different language. I thought she had the gift of tongue.
I know my mother is happy in Heaven with my father. Happy 11th year of life in Heaven, Mamang!

What was the ailment of your mother, was it sudden or was she ill before that vomiting?

she had cervical cancer stage 2 but it was treated.
she had stroke or cerebro-vascular accident, because of her complaints of projectile vomiting and high blood pressure.
i was disappointed with the admitting resident on duty in the hospital because she did not even touch my mother and relied on my answers to her questions. she diagnosed my mother with AGE, moderate dehydration, but the doctor in the ward prescribed my mother with Mannitol and diuretics.

@ridingbet that is the problem when an elderly is brought to the hospital. It is like the doctors have already a conclusion. My mother also spent her last days in the hospital, she was 82 when she expired due to cardiac arrest. She had a seizure 3 days before.

@Tracy04 not really but it depends on the kind of doctor. They are also humans and have their own idiosyncrasy.
