The moment I would take the boat ride, I would check who would be with me. So prevention is the best and not the contingent action. It could be possible. Why not? During a flood people leave their house taking along old people, babies and even pet animals on what ever makeshift item available and reach safe shore. This is a real boat but unfortunately has got a leaky floor. You are the only one who can help. Pleaaaaaaase Heeeeelp

Imagine you know to swim. Ok even if you don't know to swim how will you ensure all 3 of you reach the shore safely. There are people on the shore but don't know to swim. Such things happen many times in real life and people do get saved.

No it's deep. You can't just walk across. But their are people who can help but don't know to swim

people on the bank throw a long rope which you will pickup and tie to your boat. The people wil then pull the rope.

your idea is good. But as it is a river I cannot leave the child in the boat while carrying the lady as the river water will take away the boat due to the current. It's better if the people throw the rope close to the boat so that I can collect it and tie it to the boat. the people can then pull the boat safely to the river bank.

pulling with a rope is a good idea. But can the old lady do it on her own. She could better hold the baby while you hold the rope while people pull you to safety.

@DianneN no the boat won't sink as it's a wooden boat but still it will get submerged.

the ones on the shore dont know to swim. they will instead throw a rope for you to catch hold and tie it to your boat. The people will then pull your boat to the bank.
