The Non-Movement Of...

It is beginning to be hot again today. The previous days, although it was hot, at least there were some cool blows of the wind; hence, humidity was not high.
This morning, I began to perspire profusely once I switched off the fan. Beads of sweat appeared on my forehead and philtrum.
I gazed outside the window of the bathroom and I noticed the leaves of the mango tree and cocoa tree were stationary. There was non-movement of the leaves. House birds were chirping randomly as if they are also anxious of the hotness.
Although cumulus clouds are at the horizon, these are so white, I don't think they are already forming droplets of rain. Maybe the waters from the sea have not yet evaporated?
I have with me a plastic fan given by a mayoral hopeful last election. This candidate did not win, but her fan is giving me the souvenir of "Keep calm and Cool" notion (this candidate is known for being a critic of our incumbent mayor).
Are the leaves of the trees in your place moving?

I am interested in the cacao tree. Does it bear fruits already? Do you eat the flesh of the seeds?

@ridingbet my mother told me about the cacao seeds. Until now I have not tasted it yet. Fortunately a friend posted in Facebook the picture of his granddaughter eating the cacao fruit. I mentioned my desire and he promised to give me when the lockdown is over.

@Alexandoy cocoa tastes good especially when it is done as early morning hot drink. it should be very thick and it is nice to dip even just a piece of bread for breakfast.

yes, we suck the cocoa seeds (taught by my mother) then the seeds are sun-dried and then powder-crushed with mortar and pestle. my mother did not use the electric crusher, she wanted the natural way of crushing the seeds when she was still alive.

Even though it was in the 90s today and will be practically all week, the inside of out house is very comfortable.

No movement earlier.
Certainly no movement now.
The air is still.

Micro movements for sure, now in September, it starts getting cooler, less humid, the wind blows here and there.

Can you describe what the birds talk about ? :-)

@ridingbet Thanks, in my area, there are also Mainah birds, sparrows, pigeons, doves, green parrots, crows...I sometimes stop and listen to their tweets. Those Mainahs are cool with their songs.
