Online exams

Since the pandemic started and schools were closed here, we have been doing elearning in my campus. Lecturers have been sending us notes through email and others have been teaching through zoom.
We have done all assignments and submitted and were just waiting for schools to reopen then we can go and do our final exams.
Then yesterday a memo was sent to the WhatsApp group saying that we will be doing exams online. None of us expected this and many are complaining that it shouldn't be. That we should wait to do the exams physically.
Have you ever done online exams?

I have never taken on line classes, but I guess that would be part of it , taking the exam online.
A lot of the schools, don't know when they will open, so maybe they want the exam done and over?

Online exams are actually not so bad; on the bright side - you get to avoid the scrutinizing and nerve wracking stares of the invigilators
I'm currently writing online tests I have maths by 9am today

I don't think there is any validity of giving online exams sitting at home. I can answer any question with the book in front of me
