Maybe Time For A Hard Lesson

For a certain Little Miss, I agreed to pay for her phone bill, she was supposed to help with chores as part of that deal, but she’s been avoiding that like the plague. So if she’s not ready to do that in the next week or two, I might just have to disconnect the line. Thankfully we’re not on a contract so I can do that.
I hope that’s not being to harsh, but I really thinks she needs to know that having that phone service is a privilege not a right.
Normally she’s a good kid, but lately she’s a moody preteen, who doesn’t want to do anything ugh!

Nope, I don't think it's harsh at all. Trying to teach the importance of being responsible is a great thing for everybody.
I know people who have never learned to be responsible and they are a big nasty mess.
Make it clear what has to be done and everyone will benefit.

Yes I’ll give it a couple of more weeks and if she gets her act together, I’ll keep the service on, but if not shekels discover I meant business...

That's not harsh at all. She needs to learn responsibility and learn that there are consequences when you don't follow through.

Yeah, she’s my niece, but I have always wanted her to understand what she has is earned.
