Rocks...

Collage I made with the two photos I took of the rocks that I was working on.

I went out to the kitchen, and, because it's "Rocks" day on my calendar, I painted the three small rocks that I had put a base coat on, and sprayed what I hope was the last coat of sealant on the two larger rocks. As far as the three small rocks go, I will probably have to do a second coat of blue on that one, as I didn't shake the paint bottle well enough or something and it came out watery. The second rock I was going to make into a Ladybug, and the third I was going to do a kind of "American Flag" motif on, but the brush I was using turned out to be too wide for the stripes. I guess I could still do what I was going to, but for now it's completely red. There was sun coming in on the table where I left them, so by mid-afternoon or sooner they will likely be dry enough to do a bit more painting on. In between now and then, I am going to have lunch, do Bible study and take Angel for her afternoon walk--I'm pretty sure she'll still want to go even after her extra long walk this morning.

Oh, it's not a holiday or anything, it's just the day I put on my calendar to paint rocks. :)

That was evidently a fad of the '70s. ;)
The Pet Rock was a short lived fad that peaked in popularity during the 1975 holiday season. It sounds ridiculous on the surface but maybe not as much when g...
