India stood up against China's salami-slicing.

I knew it. India will make the difference. It had been a long time coming. Tibet had been a foregone nation. China has claimed that tiny nation for its own. China never declared war. Just drove away the Tibetans. China has been doing that, including the 'nine dash line' it invented to claim more territories, including my own archipelago. Grrrrr. The Philippines is a small nation. Admittedly, the leadership of the land would not jetski as promised. But India! Yes! Yes! What happened 15 June was a sad story for the Indian Army. It was provoked to a clash a confrontation of which could have been avoided if only China was not deceitful. And India lost a number of men. Gallant men. Men of valor. Salami slicing stops where heroes are born.

I'm glad people are waking up to the China threat. Most people here in America just don't get it and think Trump is all about the money. They don't understand the one thing the Chinese understand and desperately need is money, hitting them in the pocket is far better than all out war on the ground. India is not going to take crap from China, good on them but sad they lost troops.

Twenty gallant men lost. But they will live on for the courage they have shown. China needs this lesson. The Communist China. After all is said and done, there is no room for communism.

@Alexandoy Always on the side of caution. That's good. Yup, will advise when I see the story on the news website. Thus far though, I believe India.

That's Communist China, actually. The ordinary Chinese are in persecution, too. The Tiannanmen Massacre happened just a score and ten years ago. Communist China will not hesitate to kill its own people.

China is showing their true colors to the world and this is not correct at this time where majority of the world is affected with Covid19

China is desperate because of the pandemia. All the world's abandoning Beijing. That is why it has to assert superiority right this time.

First of all, I would like to thank you for this post as a proud Indian Yes, I was very proud abd happy to get to know about this valorous action from the Indian army side. It's very essential and crucial for India to secure and establish it's borders in a way that will avoid any ambiguity in the future. Personally I'm fed up with the so called 'peace talks' and getting back stabbed by both China and Pakistan and of course also with the intervention of super power countries who have always only used the situation to their advantage. With a real leader with a clear vision like our current PM, it's the right time for the country to draw clear geographical lines, not just on the map, but in reality! It's high time we do some serious pest control!

Sharing the same sentiments here. Tired of China, too. We couldn't fish in our shoal now. Unlike your leader, ours has no honor and allowed our natural resources defaced. When things change, we need stronger insecticide. Am so sorry for the loss of your men. The courage and the patriotism, and the moral ascendancy to stand and fight so the right and the truth will hold and prevail top the bullet points in what makes a man a hero. Stand proud, India!

@eileenleyva I'm so sorry to hear about your situation and understand that we are in similar boats if not exactly the same. I resonate with you because it has not always been like this for us too. With the pressure of international politics and our own internal problems like weak economy, corruption, religious conflicts, etc, we've waited for long to see some real action and that's exactly why I'm excited about this leadership we have now. It's taken many years to reach this point. I'm well aware that we have our own strengths and weaknesses when compared to their military but I'm sure any true soldier would only consider it a pride to die doing his duty rather than to die with a feeling that his hands were tied due to political pressure. Victory or defeat, I would always be proud that my country gave it a real fight. 'The courage and the patriotism, and the moral ascendancy to......' - you couldn't have said it more aptly and beautifully than this. It's all so true, every bit.

india has very difficult neighbours. Border dispute is the root cause for border wars and fights between Indian and it's neighbours. This will never end and brave soldiers will fight to protect their mother land.
