My daughter and I was having a conversation about her dissertation. She was telling me her adviser is called Johannes. A good name, I said, do you know what it means? Tell me, she said. And of course I did, in a lesson on names.
Names are very important. Do you know the meaning of your name?

Bright and shining - such a beautiful name you've got. You must be very bright and shining also. They say the name speaks of the person, and vice-versa. The person lives up to the name.

I must tell you that I love that word 'dew' very much because in the Liturgy of the Eucharist, during the consecration of the Holy Host, there's a line that goes 'let the Spirit come like a dewfall.' Such a wondrous image for me.

Yes, your name is female for John, which means 'God is gracious.' I think I wrote a post on it quite recently. Also means 'God is merciful.' What a beautiful name!
