Personal air purifier?

Have you heard of personal air purifiers that you can wear as a necklace? An ad for one called Air Halo showed up in my feed the other day. Of course it was a "bargain" so I did what I do with other ads that interest me, see if there are other similar products that are cheaper and better. There seem to be lots of these things coming out since April 2020 and they are very popular, mostly priced between $20 and $60. They make negative ions that give you fresh air about a meter around wherever you have it (your head and shoulders, if wearing as a necklace.) They say that negative ions remove tobacco smoke (yay, I hate smoke), reduce viruses and bacteria to H2O and CO2 (really?) and generally make the air near you smell better (good). I looked up negative ions and a real scientific government site said that negative ions in nature helps you feel more positive. Nature produces them in thunderstorms, rain, forests, etc. These air purifiers don't produce ozone in a dangerous amount. There used to be some ozone air purifiers that actually caused harm. Would you wear an air purifier as a necklace, especially if it could protect you from COVID-19?

No, I don't think I would buy one although, I can understand why some would.

As a teacher, I'm honestly debating this with myself. I know the school doesn't have purifiers in every room.

Yesterday was my first time, and I haven't seen anyone using them, although it's possible I have seen them and didn't know what they were for.

I would need more information on them but I don't think I would want to spend so much money on one,

this is amazing. Hmm, I don't know. I stay at home most of the time.

I stay at home too, until school starts in the middle of August, so I have time to decide (and to make a bit more money in Amazon gift cards).

That's new. It's the first time I heard it today about the air purifier. I wonder it's available on amazon
