Veggie Tales

Australia

I just remembered a series that I used to watch in school. It was called VeggieTales. VeggieTales is a show with appropriate pop-culture references as well as sharing Bible based stories as well as lessons in ways children can understand. I'm not religious but I love/d VeggieTales. What bothers me though is that they named the cucumber Larry... Why call a cucumber Larry? And why call a tomato Bob? Granted a name starting with C like cucumber or T like tomato wouldn't be that creative would it?

I loved watching Veggie Tales! Somewhere, I have a bunch of Veggie Tales DVDs laying around. My kids would watch it when they were little. You couldn't help but sing along to the jingle at the beginning of each episode!

You should find those and watch them... In secret... Or get the whole family together to watch them.

@Fa_Maverick I wouldn't have to do it in secret. Everybody would be excited about watching them. And we'd all sing along to the theme song. haha

Never watched that show that I can recall. I was probably watching Allegra's Castle around that time.

@Fa_Maverick It was on in the 90's in the US. It's actually called Eureka's Castle, but I think there was an Allegra in there somewhere.. I get it mixed up all the time.

@Fa_Maverick but I only have a few CDs of it before as it is not popular in my country. A friend of mine send it to me when my kids were babies still.

Yes I think it is because of the memories as a kid. They had a website with games too

i haven't heard of that show, but i agree that it would be better if they named veggies by their first letter.

They could name the limeabeans Larry. All of them just to make it confusing
