Travellers in Radhanagar Beach are cautioned about salt water crocodiles, stone fishes.

While Radhanagar Beach in Havelock Islands is a brilliant beach, there are areas where swimmers are not allowed to venture. There are boards which say swimmers should be aware of salt water crocodiles, stone fishes in those areas. Otherwise the white sands of Radhanagar Beach are awesome. It is one of the best beaches of Asia.

Yes, Shohana, I had this trip 2 years ago. For the last 6 months I have not gone anywhere.

It sounds like a nice beach but due to what is in the water I would not want to swim there. Are there any pools?

Thanks Rasma, There are swimming pools in resorts. The main part of Radhanagar beach is fine for swimming. There are certain distant areas all these marine creatures are there.

It sounds like a nice beach. It's good they let you know it's unsafe to swim.

Thanks Valerie, actually the marine creatures mentioned are dangerous. In fact stone fishes look like stones and swimmers can get confused. So the boards are helpful.

Thanks Kokilji it is really beautiful. One of the reasons why Havelock Island, Jolly Buoy island, Redskin Island in the Andaman have white sands is due to geographical reasons. There are ocean and sea on 3 sides and they are close to equator.
