I believe when you want some thing which , others have then how you feel. We regret ourselves if we see others having, a big car , or a big home. We think how lucky that person must be just, because we don't have that particular thing. If a that person sees another person with , bigger car than he or she regrets him or her, self but we actually never knew that might , be that person has a loan or something , for which he or she must not be able to pay, the loans . We look on others that other person is living, a very nice life but we never knew his or her, pain. Just having a big house or a big car , something luxury which doesn't mean that , person is having a great life .

I love this quote which kind of summarizes your post - Happiness is when we realize how blessed we are for what we have. A person who constantly compares himself to others can never be happy irrespective of what or how much he has.
