Have you tried sleeping and then realized that you cannot move your body? That happens to me so many times and it's really a very scary situation. And I observed that it happened between 2am to 4am. Every time I had this experiences, I pray to my mind and recite the Apostles Creed, Our Father and Hail Mary reapetedly until the weight in my body is gone and I can move again. I don't want to experience it again. Image Credit to google

I often realized it sleeping on my back. But I had it once while sideways too or was it just an illusion that I am sideways? But I can see the whole sidewall that time. Im not sure. And also, Im not really sure if Im awake or still asleep every time it happens. But I am always aware.

Sleep paralysis is perfectly normal. The only reason most people do not experience it is simply that they are good and truly asleep when it occurs. Our bodies create chemicals that are meant to stabilize us in our sleep, it is what keeps us from acting out our dreams and such. But sometimes we become aware (partially awake) before our bodies have had time to neutralize the chemicals and this leads to the common sleep paralysis. Nothing to be afraid of, closing your eyes and going back to sleep helps. Some people use this experience to do extraordinary things like astral projection or out-of-body adventures.
