Why is chewing gum in class inappropriate?

chewing gum is not only annoying when people blow bubles but is even more annoying when immature children throw it in girl's hair, put it under the desks, put it on chairs, throw it at people and so on, so yes i think it should be banned in class and it is innapropriate unless people use it sensibly! this is what had happened in my school when i was younger anyway! :O)

Some teachers find student's chewing gum distracting since a lot of people pop their gum.
