Harmful effects of smoking

I live with my 70-year old father and nephew. My sister is working abroad. There were times when my father had severe cough and phlegm. I was worried so we went to the doctor. He had x ray and glad the results were fine. When we talked to the doctor, my dad was asked whether he was a chain smoker when he was young. He said yes and mentioned he used to smoke one pack of cigarettes a day before. There were talks about allergies but it made me realize onw thing. It's true that smoking is harmful. You may not feel it immediately but as you grow older, you will feel how it weakens your body. My dad is still strong despite his age but I think the harmful effect of bad habits before are taking a toll on his body now. He' s okay now though. Don't worry.

I disagree with that part. My grandma is already 100 years old and she's still strong even if she's smoking.

How To Stop Smoking With Yoga Might Be Easier Than You Think One day after yoga class one of my students approached me. She was quiet and shy and I hadn’t talked to her much. She said, “Thank you for helping me to quit smoking.” I wasn’t sure what to say.
