Good thing about COVID-19

Today I realize that I've been staying at home for almost 4 months. I'd consider this as an achievement though its not that hard to make myself staying at home since I'm a homebody. I had this strange feeling because I started to feel more calm. I thought it was because I had good night sleep, I woke up feeling all smooth and settled inside and quite excited to do my work. It was a strange feeling for someone who, for the last two years or so, has been in the spiral of a quarter-life crisis. It's like nice, but terrifying hehe I think its because I’m not making many everyday choices right now. Like the only dilemma I have everyday is whether I should wash my hair or not. Or should I put another item in my shopee cart (but never makes it through the transaction hehehe). The good thing about this pandemic is it's actually feel good staying at home and do everything on your own. You don't have to make any plans about anything for your day! It's comforting for people who often feel overwhelmed by too many decisions and the fear of making the wrong one. This isolation or lock down or whatever you name it gives me a lot of time to think about things I've always wanted to do but never had enough time and energy to do it. For the first time in what feels like ages, I look at the ceiling and ask myself questions. Though I don't have all the answers to my questions and solve my quarter-life crisis but it gives me the calm. I started to focus on growing myself in many aspects and it gives me a chance to be a better me. hehehe I hope this new feeling could stay longer.:)

Welcome aboard to MyLot! I'm glad the lockdown on your area has a positive effect on you. We are all supposed to find ways to cope in this stressful time but it seems you're doing it really well. I really hope this good feeling stays with you for long.

I think I feel that way too, but I also look forward to seeing my students in person in the classroom next school year (if that is possible). I do enjoy being on my own though, and feel rested.

Yes, I feel the same. But, in this situation we just can pray and hope. And remember that there are always positive things behind this pandemic.

Simple life is the best but we can't blame those who fear lockdown because they cannot work.
