Keeping in touch with Old Friends

Social media is such a perfect tool to meet friends whom you have not seen or talk to for a very long time. I have my old college friends whom I have not seen in a while after our graduation and I get excited every time I meet them online through my social media accounts.
I have already connections recently with my old college buddies and we plan to have our Zoom video chat this weekend. Yes, I think weekend is fine with all of us since we are off from work.
Some of my friends live and work overseas so its the only opportunity we can get in touch.

If only people will use social media in a positive way then the world will be better. I use my Facebook account to connect with relatives and friends who are abroad and living distant to us.

@cherigucchi It is amazing, you don't have whatsapp when you have got all three leading social media applications. It is the most handy applications of all.

I had someone last year that I reconnected with on facebook that also lives here in Israel but it did not work out. I did write to a friend that lived in the States and she got angry at me for whatever reason so we have not been in touch for ages now.

I believe the one friend that lives in the States was angry because I was not coming back there and so lashed out at me. I have no idea. She was quite angry when she wrote me back and that was the last i heard from her.

Video chats are fun sometimes. It is wonderful to see their faces as well other than hearing their voices.

Yes, I have been able to keep in touch with not only old friends. but family that does not live close. and I have met some new friends through social media that are actually closer to me than some of my day to day in person friends.

I have only a few friends (approx. 15). I always keep my Friend Circle short so that they cannot influence my behavior.
I feel the same as you do when having a conversation with a long lost friend. It's like getting into a flow state. My problems lose power over me and I spend some time with them, putting everything else aside for a few minutes.

Yes, you are right that now a days social media is proving to be a boon for getting in touch with friends who are far away from you and whom you cannot see in person. I keep in touch with some of my friends through social media platforms, who are in a foreign country.
