My girls are busy with Chess

It's been more than a hundred days since my girls stopped schooling because of the pandemic. I'm thankful that they've been manageable most days and they try to keep themselves busy and productive while at home.
Lately they went back to playing Chess. Their daddy got them a new set to replace the old one that's been missing some pieces. I'm surprised at how they've improved in terms of strategy. I found out that they've been reading this Chess book that my older sister sent for them years ago. My 9-year-old actually beat me last time. She said I was too late at castling. Haha.
Do you like to play chess?

@amitkokiladitya That's great. It should help you bond and spend the time well together.

That's true. We like to play board games here to while away boredom.

And it keeps them away from TV and gadget.

That sounds fun. We're a family of four and we all play chess. I will have to review those chess openings and teach my kids too.

That is great that they like to play chess. I never learned so not sure I would be any good at it.

Indeed. I was actually surprised to see them playing on a day when they're allowed gadgets. They forgot that they could play that day bec they got so engrossed in their game of chess.

Every time you play you compete with someone unless you prefer to do both sides yourself :)
