My girls are busy with Chess / myLot

It's been more than a hundred days since my girls stopped schooling because of the pandemic. I'm thankful that they've been manageable most days and they try to keep themselves busy and productive while at home. Lately they went back to playing Chess. Their daddy got them a new set to replace the old one that's been missing some pieces. I'm surprised at how they've improved in terms of strategy. I found out that they've been reading this Chess book that my older sister sent for them years ago. My 9-year-old actually beat me last time. She said I was too late at castling. Haha. That's great they are playing chess. Chess is good to train your brain. I enjoyed playing chess too.

Yes, we all enjoy playing chess here, the first ever Christmas gift that I bought for my husband was an official chess board and a book of all the chess openings.

@almostoveryou I used to, but, have not in ages. I played monopoly, but, did not like it. I loved playing Clue.

I didn't know how to play chess..that's why i admire those children playing chess than playing mobile games,coz chess improves their IQ..

Indeed. I was actually surprised to see them playing on a day when they're allowed gadgets. They forgot that they could play that day bec they got so engrossed in their game of chess.
