It's Fine to be Superstitious?

I actually hate some of the superstitious things and activities and it's hard to believe these still exist even in 21st century not only in India but in different parts of the world and sometimes its funny that people believe these and follow everything to keep up with them.
But in a way am superstitious too but only for clothes that I feel these colors are lucky for me like that.
Do you follow anything superstitious?

There are so many supersitions around bats. Those creature bring bad luck. Now it seems the nightmare has come true with corona virus being taken out of bats.

@MALUSE sometimes I think that this virus is not new. So I tried to think of folktales and other believes. Hence I came upon this conclusion.

I follow quite a few. Some I have inherited from my culture and few like lucky color and lucky number...I have developed on my own. There are few things which do not have logic but we still do that. As log as it is harmless, I am okay with it.

@Butterfingers Yes...superstitions that become orthodox and hurt someone or those that become social or religious evils should be discarded and not encouraged.

I am not a superstitious person although sometimes I just let people do their thing to be lucky.

Coming to me I don't follow any like those superstitious.
But some of my family members follow some, like colours, cat comings when you go out like those

I say I'm not superstitious . . . but these thoughts do run through my head. In my culture, the numbers 4 and 9 are bad. So when 4 or 9 approach me in whatever way, I don't really like it . . . but I know realistically it will not affect me.

i can be superstitious sometimes, but i know it doesn't make any sense. but people wouldn't keep believing in it for so long if it didn't make any sense...

It isn't that silly to be superstitious.. in face some people that have a lucky "charm" for a big moment in their life or exam etc actually do better and not because the item is "lucky" but because they have an increased belief in their ability to do well and as a result actually do better. Same with "black cats are bad luck" if you think you are going to have bad luck more than likely it will manifest orrr your attitude will become negatively skewed making it seem like you are having bad luck. It is very interesting
