Some people can be annoying

We sat in a pay counter type of restaurant. The type where you pay before, but it wasn't quite fast food. I remember thinking that it resembled a Wendy's restaurant. My friend and her husband had an argument about the food. Her husband had not received the right order, and she told him he should send it back, but he didn't want to go to the bother of it. As for me, I wasn't planning on eating at all. I hadn't been feeling very well, and I didn't want to risk anything. Still, my friend did talk me into getting a lemon lime soda to settle my stomach. She and I sat in a booth as we waited for her husband, who had finally been convinced to complain about his order. "So, do you think she'll be alright?" This was from me. I was referring to her sister, who had received some hard news just a few hours earlier. My friend shrugged one shoulder and went back to eating, her eyes downcast. I knew her sister's troubles were bothering her a little more than she wanted to let on. A man came to sit in the booth beside us and tried to strike up a conversation. The seating was pew style with one long bench separated by several tables that sat four to six people. We ignored the man, but he was persistent. I was glad when my friend's husband came to sit down again, slamming his tray on the table in his frustrations. He had ordered a double hamburger with pickle and fries, but on his tray sat two orders of fries. None of us spoke, but at least the annoying man decided to leave us alone. THEN I woke up... but as I always say, there was more...
