Local drink, global taste

I say it has global taste because the taste is so fresh and delicious. I believe all of you like it. It is usuall called by iced coconut palm sugar. Since coconut is common found here, this fruit is cheap and easy to get. I can make it by myself. I only need a young coconut, palm sugar, water and ice. Just mix it. Dont forget... use young coconut, here we call with "degan". If you take the ripe one, no.. no... it is so hard. Old coconut is better to coconut milk to cooks. All of these steps can be done by myself except open up the coconut, (so i already bough the open one). It needs the expert skill. Do you ever open the coconut by yourself?

Coconut palm sugar is affordable in many places. It has better taste than cane sugar

@HannahKusKus We were on vacation somewhere years ago with the kids. They begged him to open it. Rock or stone is good. A stone is smaller. I’ve had fresh coconut drinks on beaches with a straw inserted. That was refreshing!

Oow..dont eat it @DianneN. If it was old coconut, im sure it was hard to be raw eaten.

Yes I can open using sharp knife, but hear we need some skills other wise we loss our fingers. Very rarely I cut it, other wise I don't go for it.
