I have never been to Nebraska but I am scratching it off my “to do”/to see list because I spent about 5ish hours driving through the state on I-80 coming from Colorado all the way into Iowa. I had researched earlier to try and see if there were any road side attractions to stop at on the way. I found NOTHING along the I-80 corridor. And this proved true. The freeway has two lines, 75 MPH speed limit, and surrounding you is farmland, corn, and VERY stinky cow farms. Very straight roads with hardly any turns, hardly any hillls, and it seemed like if we came into a town, it was really just a gas station or truck stop and some fast good. FYI for those curious Nebraska Is in the Midwest and borders Iowa to the East, South Dakota to the north, Colorado to the west and Kansas to the south. Not impressed, Nebraska. Some interesting Nebraska facts while I am here: *You have to be 19 years old to buy lottery *has 87 state parks (I did not find one, somehow) *Invented the “Reuben Sandwich” *Has more miles of river than any other state (surprising) I guess that’s all I got for now. Have you driven through this state? Hope all is well!

But look at how great your gas mileage must have been!!! Omaha was good enough for me. Went to a concert there back in the 80s. More trivia: Johnny Carson was born in Nebraska.

Nice, Thank you!! Omaha is their biggest city (when I drove through it said Population of over 400,000, which surprised me). Did you enjoy Omaha? I didn’t have a chance to stop.

@maezee — the folks were nice and friendly. I’d be glad to go back...maybe find one of those state parks.
