More Crochet Nests and Pouches I made To Donate To A Wildlife Rescue Center

crochet wildlife rescue nests for donation

As you know i love to crochet. Back in January i joined a group called Wildlife Rescue Nests. A group of crocheters/knitters from all over provide safe, tightly constructed nests to licensed wildlife rehabilitators. We have to follow strict patterns to insure against injury of the animals. All of the yarn , shipping and the completed nests/pouches are donated. I use some of the proceeds from what i sell in my crochet shop (which i can't mention here because someone turned me in before) - to help with the costs. This is the latest shipment ready to go out to a wildlife rescue center in Alabama. The best is when i get photos from the rescues using my nests. To date, i've crocheted and donated 122 nests & pouches. The pouches are mainly used for animals like Opossums and for transporting or weighing.

How cool! I had no idea that crocheting could be used for such a thing. Judy in Australia crochets hats for premature babies. What a blessing it is to use your talent like that!!!!

That is amazing that you contribute the nests and pouches, and that is a large amount. That is very sweet of you.

Thank you. Anything over 1 pound has to ship priority mail . One of my average shipments cost anywhere between $5-$9
