I love maps!

A few days ago it was my 30th birthday (hurray!) and my family (and friends) did a good job at making the day special for me, even though I had to work all day and evening. My sisters got me a few nice gifts, some fancy bath/body products, and a really cool gift was one that my mom got me: a large United States atlas map for the states and national parks. Not like I will be doing much traveling any time soon, but I DO love a good map. In fact, whenever I travel, I usually get directions on MapQuest and rely on maps. In fact, it takes some of the fun away to be reliant on a GPS or smart phones. For some reaosn, for ME, there is something very satisfying about finding your way with a map. And something so cool about looking at a state's map or area's map and seeing the layout of where you have been and where you are going. Is anyone else a fan of these? I am almost excited to hit the road again (although, like I said, not planning on going anywhere any time soon), just so I can use these maps! You receive any good gifts lately?

I really love maps as well. The USA has some amazing national parks that are worth visiting. I like maps of train lines so I can easily plot my journeys. In my bedroom I have world map on my wall above my bed. I have a number of different sized globes.

I'm waiting for a parcel to give to the women in the house. I haven't had my own parcel. I'm glad you have yours from your sister.

Belated wishes to you. I don't get any gifts due to this pandemic situation. Enjoy your special day my dear friend.
