It's Kinda Offensive when Family-Members call themselves Survivors

take a low seat until you're called up

Although that's 'what they are' (in obituaries, the dead-person "is survived by" their relative; the historical roots literally mean 'live after'!), it kinda lessens the status of the true survivors (the ones that almost die). It reminds me of what Lord Jesus Christ said about 'the seats of honor at a banquet.' (We 'true survivors' are sitting at 'the head of the table'; and here come all these 'relatives of-the dead & -true survivors,' acting like they deserve the title we true survivors earned.)

Yes; but not so much as the actual survivors (the ones who were in a hostage situation, in combat in war, in a fatal accident etc. AND LIVED). I guess we ACTUAL survivors should start calling ourselves The Risen-Again, yeah?
