@Hannihar It's a male voice, and he does thank you for throwing trash in there. He also randomly talks to people as they get close to the can. It's pretty funny.

@moffittjc I bet that would be hilarious. That is very polite of him to thank them for throwing the trash. Does he say anything for those that just throw the trash on the ground and do not pick it up and throw it inside? I would love that one and then they would look around and see who said that and maybe pick up their trash and throw it where it should be.

@RebeccasFarm I think it was while I lived in the States. Here at the building where my doctor is there is a person that talks in the elevator and tells us each floor we are on.

@Hannihar not much vending machine here. In Tokyo all I see were vending machines even in the aisle of the hotel room we were in.

@Alexandoy Yes, the vending machine. Do they still have them? That is cute. The elevator that I take down to my doctor's office tells us each floor we are on and when the exit is.

@marlina I was very surprised when I heard it talk. It was really cool.

@marlina That was when I lived in the States. I have no idea if they still have one. We have an elevator at my doctor's office that tells you each floor you are on and the exit floor.

@Hannihar as it computerized so whatever the function programmed it say those things, like at the end it say " thank you for banking with us "

@Hannihar I like the self checkout, I just don't like it when they tell me to do something I have already done.

@gr8nana6 That is a good one. Here they do not talk. They just try and screw with you on which thing to press. I do not like them. I prefer to go to a person.
