A Rainy Morning

I thought this picture from Pixabay was so cute. It's a rainy start to the day this morning. Just a steady rainfall with no thunder or lightning. I would normally enjoy these days but my brother has to go out of town again today and I worry about him driving in the rain. Not because of him but other drivers. Once I know he is there, I will feel better.
I received my recliner yesterday and I love it! It's electric which is very nice and it has a USB port. I'm very happy with it. It's big like the other recliner because it has to be big enough for Daisy to lay beside me. She seems to like it too. I will take a picture soon so you can see it.
As usual, I don't have much planned today. I may work on my jewelry again today. I'm looking forward to my brother and I taking a daycation in his new car. I haven't been in it yet. I would really love to stay somewhere overnight but I don't dare do that with the way things are. We are going to talk about it this weekend, so we can go next weekend.

I'm just too afraid to stay in a hotel. I can't fathom the idea of sleeping in a bed or using the bathroom when somebody else could have stayed there and had the virus. It's just too scary. If we do go somewhere, it will only be for a day, and we will probably bring out on food and have a picnic.

That's awesome that your new recliner has been delivered! I'm sure you love the electric feature and the USB port! Not to mention all that room for Daisy to sit beside you!

@moffittjc I am trying to slowly break it in, so I sit on a different side each day. In the old chair Daisy was used to laying on the left side. It messes with her mind when I sit on the left side and make her get on the right side 
. Last night she got in my lap and was trying to make me scoot over, so she could lay on that side. As you can tell, she doesn't like change.

Enjoy your new recliner. Does it have a battery backup? My next recliner will because I have gotten stuck in it when the power goes out! :-) Hope your brother has a safe trip.

@DocAndersen I wish we would have rain for 4 days in a row. I hear ya on it getting cooler after rain. We didn't have any of that either.

That is a cute picture, and I can relate because we had some rain and storms thru the night last night. This morning is quite humid and overcast, no sunshine so far.
I'm glad that the new recliner has been delivered and you are enjoying it. That should help you relax.

We had almost 3 days of scattered thunderstorms and I feel so bad for Daisy. She instantly runs and hides as soon as she hears thunder. She's been a nervous wreck for 3 days. For some reason, when she gets nervous, she sheds a lot...and I mean a lot, by the handfuls. And, she is a short haired dog. One day when she got out of my chair, I gathered enough hair to form a baseball. She doesn't shed like this normally, only when she is scared or nervous.
