The news came down yesterday that New York Jets owner, Woody Johnson, is now under investigation for racist and sexual comments made while he was serving as an ambassador to the UK. He wants the Open Championship to be played at a golf resort owned by President Donald Trump.
I do not know what specific comments were made. The generalization I've gathered from ESPN online are that he questioned the importance of Black history month as well as stating that black fathers don't stick with their family and that's a challenge.
He would also comment on women's appearance at the embassy and public events. He was also caught saying he would prefer to work with women as they are cheaper and work harder. While there he would hold gatherings at men's only clubs so that women were not allowed to join.
He claims that he was asked by Trump to try to get the open played at his resort, however, Trump denies this allegation.
Johnson became an ambassador in 2007 and his term was going to expire later this year.
Of course, Johnson denies all claims against him saying "I followed the ethical rules and requirements of my office at all times."
I'm not entirely sure what to think about all of this. I haven't seen anything official with quotes or surveillance that proves he was disrespectful.
How this turns out will be interesting.
All information was gathered from the ESPN app.

We have to keep in mind that at this point these are just allegations. Mr. Johnson is considered innocent until evidence proves to the contrary. It's not fair to judge him as guilty just based on allegations. He deserves due process.
I'm not saying he is innocent, nor am I sticking up for him, but I'm sticking up for his rights to due process.

You're right. I have yet to see proof of anything. These days people are saying things to just destroy others so I'm not sure if that's what is happening here as well.
If he said and did all of the things he's accused of, you would think there would be something to prove it as well

@JordanLader Who knows, maybe there is evidence, maybe there's not. But if someone is going to make accusations, they should back it up with proof.

I'm still trying to see where there's any proof or if this is just what a few people are saying. People are saying things lately to just be mean and destroy others.
