Finally after 5 days, we got the AC fixed. We didn’t spend a dime. Actually my father-in-law (he’a my husband stepfather), and my mother-in-law came over to our house around 3:30pm. It was the capacitor my husband told them it sound like the AC was humming. So the open the panned on the back of the AC after turning off the power. They saw that the Capacitor has fried a little from a bug. That’s right a bug.

Both are the correct terms for what happens to the capacitor. It for fried because of a bug crashes a little fire on it. It happens some times. The bug created an electoral loop which killed the bug and the capacitor.

Oh, hope now your AC working good. I also face this issues due to some small creatures. In out door of AC they preparing their nest in between gap of fans. So on switch on the AC we don't get any chill ness, on checking we finding it. Then after we make a mess around the put door. Now it fine.

Well we do t have doors on our AC it’s a panel that you unscrew. Typically bugs don’t get in but it must have been small and created a loop on the capacitor which blew it. Once changed it has been working fine.

You wouldn't believe how many times a bug is the culprit when something goes wrong with our electric and/or electronic gadgets. It happens more often than you think! So glad to hear your AC is back working again.
