Don't Misuse the Power of Prayer! It's a Thermostat, not a Guardian/Parent!

God set it first and is the last to adjust it, but uses your advice to decide how!

I'm annoyed at people who post 'NEED PRAYERS! PROBLEM-PROBLEM-PROBLEM!' on their Social-Network. It makes me want to reply, 'No! Pray the Promise, not the Problem!' But that kind of response gets me "blocked" from my (former-) friends' social-feeds; because they're not saying those things 'because they're "right".' They're saying them because 'they need comfort' (the same reason a baby cries ... sure, the baby is said to cry "because something's wrong"; but they WON'T cry if they're 'comfortable' with whatever's wrong!) Whenever I see someone (especially if they claim to be "mature") making- and trying to get people to join them in-a 'crybaby' prayer, I remember what I heard on Concepts of Faith (either Farmer Charles Capps or his daughter Annette): You Don't Set the Thermostat to 'How Uncomfortable You Are!' (I can't find 'the broadcast where COF mentions the thermostat,' but a blog I found https://mightywindministries.org/thermostat-faith/ talks about the principle.) You set the thermostat to 'the temperature you think is comfortable'; if the room gets too hot or -too cold, your air-conditioner will adjust the temperature to 'the the level you prayed-for!' STOP PRAYING THE PROBLEM!

I also share my problems and ask for prayers, and I find nothing bad in it.

When it's cold, do you go to the thermostat, complain about how cold it is and wait on the thermostat to do the right thing?

@SHOHANA Babies believe in crying ... and sometimes, that's what the baby needs (just a good cry ... crying it all out). If you can remain a baby, good for you. But if the baby needs feeding or changing ...
