My dad received good news on his CT scan

There was five things, that they found, but only worried about one. The one that is a concern is he may have a thyroid issue, but they are not really sure and would need to run more test. He doesn't want to bother with another test.
The two black spots on his lungs, can only be explained as shadows. Nothing they want to recheck until next year.
They believe at some point he was exposed to absestos, but don't seem too concerned about it.
They are afraid to treat his swelling legs with Lasix, because it would be too much on his kidneys.
My honest opinion is when someone like my dad who is 82, they don't want to spend too much time, looking into much.
There is something they didn't see in the scan, but let me know that his kidney disease is now in Stage 4, kidneys are very bad, he may need dialysis soon.

they only bad news is the kidneys, from what I understand there is only 5 stages, he is stage 4

Great news on the CT scan of the lungs, but sorry to hear the news on the kidneys. I hope that everything works out okay and that your dad can live out his days in good health and good spirits.
