today I was forced out to take my younger brother back to school, he will stay in the dorm for the next few months. but here it is only for schools that have a boarding system. has there started school again the same as here?

Yes. On my place the the junior and senior high school already started go to school. But the elementary school still having online class.

Japanese public schools have been in session since June 1, and will not get much summer break to make up for the two months they missed. My international school will go back in person in the middle of August.

I think it's a wise decision in your country, it's safe because they are in a dormitory, really sterile and not allowed out and there are people who come in including the instructor
